you know, thinking back to what you said about the miami underground style, you were totally right.
I appreciate my vintage, hang out at thrift shops to no end, but miami kids, unlike the rest of the world, we have that 'i will, pound you fucking face in' attitude, and that comes naturally, cause everyone down here knows how to scrap a little.

this guy has this 'druglord' look, which is very sexy because it takes a lot of balls to carry it off. i feel about this look the same way as i feel about men in hairnets. I have seen a couple trying (mostly cholos) and have seen one guy pulling it off so well, it was almost scary.

miami kids, definitely have the best style, since we all have to fight off the weather, and since the weather doesn't always agree with our desire to wear pleather pants, we still do, and wearing them in the summer, also makes us tougher, which shows.

i may not like sofla, and will probably not be here for much longer, but dammit, my style is forever stuck to miami street indie.

I'm sorry but if you're looking for style, leave the fucking state. The closest thing to real, home-grown contemporary style in Miami exists exclusively in the art scene (i.e. DASH, local artists, designers, etc). These people aren't tainted by the boring social expectations of a local club scene or traditional hispanic culture, instead they apply the concepts they practice in studio to their morning dress ritual. Personal style is an art and a lifelong commitment. NOT WHAT'S 'SUP3R CUTE' AT FOREVER 21.
